What We Believe

​

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant and infallible word of God. It tells us the truth about all things concerning God and his plans, including his plan to save us. It is the final authority for what we are to believe and how we are to live.

God exists as a Trinity. There is only one God, but He exists in three persons (The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit).

Jesus Christ is God incarnate, both human and divine. He was born of a virgin and lived a sinless, obedient life. He died on the cross to pay for our sins but rose from the dead in full resurrection glory. He ascended into Heaven, where He occupies the place of highest honor and authority and holds the title of "Lord".

Jesus Christ is coming again: Personally, visibly, and gloriously. He is coming to judge the world and complete the salvation of His people.

All of humanity was created good in the image of God, but has fallen short of the glory of God and are guilty of sin, and therefore stand under the judgment of God.

The solution to our sin and guilt is salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. All who put their trust in Christ are forgiven, reconciled to God, and will escape the judgment that is to come.

Believer's baptism by immersion is the baptism of the New Testament and is the symbol of the beginning of the Christian life.

The Lord's Supper or Communion is the symbol of the new covenant and the continuing of the Christian life and should be a regular practice for believers.

The Church is the "Body of Christ", the universal grouping of believers who together represent Christ in the world and are called to carry out his purposes. Each local church is an expression and manifestation of the universal church. Every believer should be part of a local church congregation.

We believe that the Bible teaches that marriage is a covenant relationship between one man and one woman.
